Greenhouses
A greenhouse is a specialized structure designed to cultivate plants in a controlled environment, providing an artificial ecosystem that can support growth year-round. With walls and roofs typically made of transparent materials like glass or polycarbonate panels, greenhouses harness the sun's energy through the greenhouse effect – allowing shortwave radiation to enter and trapping the resulting heat inside.
Greenhouse Effect Advantage
This creates a microclimate that can be significantly warmer than external conditions, enabling gardeners and farmers to extend growing seasons and cultivate plants that wouldn't normally thrive in their local climate. Modern greenhouses often incorporate sophisticated climate control systems, including ventilation, heating, cooling, lighting, and irrigation mechanisms for optimal growing conditions.
“Going Green”
Everyone is “going green” and we offer greenhouses that will allow you to enjoy the outdoors and gardening all year. Gardening is a snap, for those with a green thumb, thanks to our handy greenhouses! Due to seasonal changes many need a greenhouse that is climate-controlled during the whole year. With options like our 16in. thermostatically controlled exhaust fans, weatherproof electrical outlets, extra functional mesh plant shelving or a convenient potting island, you can have the best outdoor/indoor gardening experiences!
Your plants will get sun and warmth even in the coldest temperatures if they are in a greenhouse where it is humid, warm and bright. With our exhaust fan you no longer have to worry about proper ventilation. Our exhaust fans draw hot stale air out of the greenhouse and bring fresh air inside.
Although we don't per se sell greenhouse kits specifically, you could build a floor for our greenhouses in your backyard and we could set this attractive customized greenhouse right on the floor you provide. If you don't want to build a floor some have used gravel beds or mulch beds as effective media as the base for these for horticulture masterpieces. Some growers have also used these units for small commercial greenhouses.
